“Hanne Hukkelberg-day” over at Indie for Bunnies + some special Hukkelberg-goodies from us!

The good Italian musicblog Indie for Bunnies has announced that today is “Hanne Hukkelberg-day” on their site. They have already published a review of the norwegian artists latest album “Rykestrasse 68″, and later in the afternoon, they will publish a live report from Hanne Hukkelberg’s concert in Rome. The live report will also feature a video from the concert, says Alessio from Indie for Bunnies to Eardrums.I am very happy that Babelfish comes with an “Italian to English”-option, and I guess I’ll be heading over to our Italian blog-colleagues later tonight.
This gives me an opportunity to say some words about a nice Hanne Hukkelberg-related project that I have enjoyed for some time now: IGNORE.

Hanne is also involved inthe jazz-projectIgnore, and they released a fine album called “Happiness not yet won” on acoustic records in 2006. The music is experimental and partly improvised jazz, with great atmosphere.
In Ignore, Hanne Hukkelberg is a musician, not a songwriter. All songs and lyrics are written by Gaute Storsve, who also plays guitar and lapsteel in the project. Hanne does the vocal-parts, Erik Balke plays saxophone, Ketil Einarsen (known from Jaga Jazzist) plays flute, Henning Sandsalen is the bassplayer and Jonas Howden Sjvaag does the drums. Hanne’s singingis as playful as it is on her own albums, but she uses her voice differently, which is interesting to hear. For the general pop-fan, this might be difficult music, but if you give it some time, you will see and hear the beauty of it. Here’s a track from the album, and if you like it, you can buy the album from waysidemusic.com
