The Embassy & xoxo, panda: All Your Summer Songs
It’s a beautiful day here at Eardrums’s southern headquarters, so it’s a good time to share two summer tracks that’ll get you through the weekend. Both are from bands we’ve told you about before.

First, Marci Bianchi’s xoxo, panda project is still going strong. If you’re lucky enough to live in California, you can go to his team’s various art exhibits and get ultra-limited vinyl pressings of his musical projects. An album is scheduled for a 2008 release. All the info’s on his myspace, and here’s one of his new tracks: it’s almost spoken word.

Our second track is from Tacking, the latest album by Gothenburg-based electronic pop duo The Embassy.

I’ve gotten into this great album again, and I think it’s because the summer is coming up. Tacking is finally coming out in
non-Scandinavian Europe, and a tour is scheduled for the fall (more info on that soon). You’re free to stare at a tall Swede running half-naked around Los Angeles (the video for outstanding single “Stage Persona”), but today I’d rather listen to “It Never Entered My Mind”.
