I’ve been kind of isolated on a small island in the north of Norway for a month this summer, and I made sure that I had a lot of music with me on my computer when I went up there. Beautiful nature combined with great music is a winner! Two of the songs that have been on my top playlist this isolated month come from a UK band called The Rumble Strips. They have as far as I know not released any albums yet, but I found several singles and eps by them on 7digital.com. Funny, energetic and refreshing! I’m totally hooked on the extremely catchy "Alarmclock" and the cool "Motorcycle". As I’ve said in several posts before, I’m an easy pray when I hear brass-instruments combined with indie-pop, and The Rumble Strips gives me exactly what I want. In addition, they have a strong vocalist with a perfect crooner style and funny lyrics. When the songs are strong too, what more can you ask for?
