Tweet As some of you may remember, the Norwegian artist Egil Olsen won first prize the Norwegian short film festival for his music video to the song "Singer-songwriter" earlier this year. Now he’s back with a new song and a new video, and this time he has made the video all by himself. This is not his first video-production, but it is the first time he has made an animated one. New song from Jeremy, – Norway’s Simon and Garfunkel… or Norway’s new Kings of Convenience … or something like that… Great song anyhow.

Jeremy will play live at In The City in Manchester on October 22. More about Jeremy here and there and hopefully soon everywhere: http://www.jeremymusic.net/ | http://www.myspace.com/jeremy Jeremy – You’re alright (RAC remix) …and here is …

Tweet Remember how we told you recently that Tullycraft have a new album out soon? Well, it turns out their friends Math and Physics Club, with whom they’re playing a record-release show, have a new EP out as well. It’s called "Baby I’m Yours", and if the title track is to be believed, it’s every bit as good as their first two EP’s and 2006 LP. You can grab the EP from Matinée Recordings, and a stream of the song …

Tullycraft Has Presents For Us – A New Album And an MP3 Blog!

Posted on by Nicolas in Bandprofile, Songs | 1 Comment

Tweet Tullycraft, one of the poppiest bands in America, has a new album coming out next month, which is good news if you like clever two-minutes happy tunes with elborate in-jokes and killer ba-da-pa-pa’s; I’m still playing their previous record, Disenchanted Hearts Unite, on a regular basis, and I’ve put their debut single "Pop Songs Your New Boyfriend’s Too Stupid To Know About" on more mixtapes than I can remember. The new record’s called Every Scene Needs a Center, and …

Sylvie Lewis – my new favorite singer

Posted on by Knut in Bandprofile, Reviews | 1 Comment

Tweet I’m later than usual with this album, but I discovered it and the artist just some weeks ago. Sylvie Lewis was never a part of my world of music until some nice person at some promo agency sent me this one recently (- he thought I might like it…), and now she has entered my world with full force. Her latest album is called "Translations" and was released late in June this year on Cheap Lullaby records. I’m totally …

talkdemonic – “Folktronic hop” out of Portland, OR

Posted on by Nicolas in Bandprofile, Songs | 2 Comments

Tweet I like making up unique genre names for the bands I listen to, but I’ve noticed that it can get a little irritating and it’s not that evocative to most people after all. However, since Oregon-based duo talkdemonic describe themselves as "folktronic hop", I’m happy to repost that expression that suits them very well; and despite what you might think, it’s not that similar to Four Tet. Kevin O’Connor and Lisa Molinaro are from the Pacific Northwest, but they …
