The Radio Dept covers The Go-Betweens in new, free Friendly Noise MP3-release

I godan ro

In june this year, Per Johansson and Mathias Nilsson of the Swedish band Kissing Mirrors released a very limited fanzine called "I godan ro". Included with the zine was an 11 track CR-R with mostly unreleased songs from their friends. The fanzine was sold out fast, and now the Swedish label Friendly Noise (home of Differnet, Testbild and other great ones) has released a free MP3 EP with some of the songs from the fanzine.

One of these tracks are Swedish indiestars The Radio Dept covering The Go-Betweens beautiful "Bachelor Kisses", originally from the "Spring Hill Fair"-album from 1984. One of my favourite bands covering another of my favourite bands… Could it be better? The cover song is done really good, and very much in the style of The Radio Dept..
You can download the Radio Dept. track from right here (get it? ;-) ) and the rest of the fanzine EP from Friendly Noise’s free MP3-archive.

The Radio Dept – Bachelor Kisses

I can’t resist including the video from The Go-Betweens original song.
