Hi again, friends of good music! Here are our latest finds from the bandsites, labelsites, promosites and magazinesites we’ve visited since last Thursday.
Twelve Thursday Tunes for you:
Jakobinarina – This is an Advertisement (great track from the Icelandic band Jakobinarina! Funny lyrics and high energy all the way! The band will release a new single called "His lyrics are disastrous" on September 24 and their new album "The first crusade" is out on October 1st. More on their website. )
Vampire Weekend – Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa (from bandsite) – Wonderful new band on XL Recordings. Their album will be out in January 2008. Afrobeat guitars, sweet indie vocals and clever melodies. Addictive!
His Name Is Alive – Go to hell Mountain (from the bands upcoming album XMMER, out September 18. Website)

New Young Pony Club – the bomb (one of the finest songs on their new album. from spinner.com)
The Midways – a lot like me (from bandsite) – authentic-sounding 60s inspired indie band, with cool organ-riffs and wonderful vocals. Love it!
Marla Hansen – Wedding day (from her website) – title track from her new album. She is one of Sufjan Steven’s musicians and he also play on her album.
Holy Fuck – Lovely Allen (from labelsite)
The Rumble Strips - Alarm Clock (live at Woxy lounge acts)
Emma Pollock – Adrenaline (from labelsite) – Her debut solo album will be out any day now on 4ad records.
The Tiny Animal – New Romance (from Triple J Unearthed) – Brisbane vocal based indie/electronic one man band in the veins of DNTEL, Hot Chip, Postal Service.
Attention Now – Soundwaves (from nrk urört) – Norwegian girl/boy duo with charming melodies and subtle electronics.
