Broadcast 2000 is a multi-instrumentalist and writer/producer based in North London who recently released a fantastic debut EP called "Building Blocks". This is a clever mix between acoustic pop, electronica and probably a lot of studio wizardry, and the result is highly original. I discovered the project about a month ago, when Last.fm had a "Xmas chart attack" competition where they were going to try to take one of the competing artists to the top of the UK christmas charts. Broadcast 2000 did not win (Lucky Soul did), but the project won my vote because of the music and the originality. The EP sounds great, and if you like this track, you”ll like it all.
