Mojib – whimsical lifestyles

This album has been around some weeks/months already, and I’ve had it and played it for a long time. I just felt that I had to tell you about this fine album by Mojib, even if it is not the newest of the new. It was recently released in a digital version worldwide (only some days ago), so it’s kind of new.
When I received this album, I knew only a few things about this artist. I started listening with my usual sceptic approach, but my shields were broken down after only a few songs. This is great music. This is interesting music. This is beautiful music.
Mojib is a Swedish musician who works in the electronica-field, – downtempo electronica, with elements of both hip hop, jazz, electro, folk, rock… a lot of stuff. Piano and strings play an essential role on this album and the orchestral elements makes the electronics sound warm and organic. "Whimsical lifestyles" is mostly instrumental, but the melodies are always in focus. Some of the piano-arrangements/samples are wonderful. Great album, highly recommended!
The album can be bought from Mojib’s own webshop.
