Eardrums is on hold for the moment. Knut and his family has moved to a small island, and are in lack of both computer and internet…Knut is enjoying his fantastic view, and he’s trying to get everything in order in his new house, but he’s hoping to be back on track in april!
But stay tuned; our other eardrumswriters will keep you posted in the meantime!

Sweden’s Gentle Touch will release their debut album "In memory of Savannah" on Songs I wish I had written 19 March.
The first single from the album is called "Once you used to", and you can listen to it right here:
Gentle Touch – Once you used to (from the label)
More songs to listen to/ download on the band’s myspace.
Gentle Touch’s debut EP can be bought from the label’s website and I guess the new album will be available from there soon too.

This is GREAT NEWS!
The Notwist will release a new album called "The Devil, You + Me" this year, and as always when the Acher brothers do something, I’m excited!
The album will be released by City Slang in Europe in late May quickly followed by Domino in North America and Japan in early June 2008. The new release is the German trio’s sixth album as The Notwist, and I guess we can expect them to do both unexpected and inventive things on this one, as they always do. They started out as a hardcore rock band and changed their sound into a mix between indie and electronica on their later releases. I noticed them somewhere in the middle of their career and have followed their work since then.
If you are new to the band, I recommend you to check out especially their "Neon Golden" and "Shrink"-albums, but you should also dive into their world of side-projects which include great projects like Lali Puna, Ms John Soda, Console, 13+God, Tied&Tickled trio, Village of Savoonga + several others.
I guess Markus Acher would disagree calling these "side-projects". In a report/interview I wrote about the recording of the new album in july 2005, he told me that whatever he works with at the moment is his main project. Right now, I guess that is The Notwist…
Well, at the moment I’m sitting on a borrowed computer just to tell you about this, so I’ve got to stop soon…
Here’s a great taster for you, – the second track on the new cd, "Good Lies":
The Notwist – Good Lies
The tracklisting on the new album is:
The Devil, You + Me
Good Lies
Where In The World
Gloomy
Alphabet
The Devil, You + Me
Gravity
Sleep
On Planet Off
Boneless
Hands On Us
Gone Gone Gone

Oslo based X-Queen of the Astronauts realeased their debut album "Hello, Pretty-Pretty" March 3rd. This is catchy indie-pop with fun lyrics and great harmonies. The band cruises through pop history with the speed like Cosmonauts – inspred by the 60s and 70s, but still sounding fresh and modern.
