Last chance to download the “Summer’s Here!” compilation next week! NEW Eardrums Compilation coming up!

Next week will probably be your last chance to download the “Summer’s Here” compilations. The diskspace/bandwith will definitely be needed for the NEW Eardrums compilation, which I hope to be able to upload for you around the 20th of September. I am still waiting for two covers + better versions of two songs, and when I’ve got that, I will be happy to present a 4 (four!) volume Autumn compilation for you. The theme is “warm autumn music”, and the title will be “A Good Crop”. Like last time, you will get a pdf-document with artist info, lots of new music and several exclusive tracks.
The cover art is made by the German illustrator Julia Guther, the American painter/sculptor/illustrator Souther Salazar, the English Graphic designer Alex Ostrowski and the last cover is made by myself. Some of you may know Julia Guther from another creative area. She is one half of the German band Guther, and she will also participate with music on the compilation. Alex Ostrowski is also a musician that you may know. He plays and sings in the band Kotki Dwa, and they are also on the compilation.
Musically the new compilation will have several similarities with the “Summer’s here” compilation. Lots of happy, uplifting, upbeat and melodic popsongs. This time I have also included more “down” tracks, – some more of the melancholic and thoughful ones, and some very nice acoustic popsongs. A little bit of both, like autumn often is.
I’ll be back later with the full tracklist.
If you want info about the tracklist earlier + get an update in the mail when the albums are out, you can subscribe to the mailinglist. I will not spam you, and there will not be a lot of messages, – only the important ones. To subscribe, send an empty mail to mailinglist-subscribe@eardrumsmusic.com .
If I decide to take down “Summer’s Here!”, it will always be available upon request.
Here are a few songs from our first compilation, “Summer’s Here!”:
all my friends – up and down the river
Remington Super 60 – the bicycle song
Elle s’Appelle – reasons your reasons (R.I.P., what a great band they were!)

A late pat on the back for you – the Summer compilations were really excellent and I’m definitely looking forward to the new release!

Absolutely brilliant compilations. I’m especially fond of Northern Portrait. I don’t think I’ve heard a single artist hailing from Sweden I’ve disliked. Jens Lekman, Acid House Kings, Shout Out Louds…

@Justin – Yeah, so Northern Portrait hail from Denmark. Guess they just have that Swedish sound.

@Justin -
I guess you’re right about that. Lots of “Swedish sound” on the new compilation too.
