The Pale Corners

When I hear the name The Pale Corners, I’m reminded of two bands I liked very much in the 80s, The Brilliant Corners and The Pale Fountains. It’s the name, of course, but there’s something in The Pale Corners music that takes me right back to that era, – and it gives me a good feeling. I’ve only heard 3 songs from them so far, and all of them are really good pop songs. Bands who play good, jangly indie-pop with nice melodies and trumpets easily get an access all areas pass to my heart. The Pale Corners have already got their AAA  from me.

This newly formed Swedish quartet consists of Christian, Henrik, David and Victor, – four long time friends with a shared love of pop music and table tennis. In fact, they have recorded a table tennis match, and the sounds will be used as drums on their next single. Future plans includes forming a small table tennis club, and hopefully also recording lots and lots of new songs.

Have a listen to the first song they share with us, named after the actor Steve Buscemi:
