Lovecult – mixing the old with the new

A little bit of 60s references, a little bit of 70s references, some shoegaze, some krautrock and some psychedelia. That’s close to how the Norwegian band Lovecult sound like. Lovecult are four girls and two boys from Bergen, inspired by bands like Faust, Kraftwerk, New Order, The Beach Boys, Spacemen 3/ Spiritualized, Velvet Underground, Stereolab and The Radio Dept.

Just after their first rehearsal as a full band in September 2008, most of their equipment and their rehersal space was lost in the tragic fire in Sandviken, Bergen. Lovecult lost a lot, but are on their way back again, with a new rehearsal room, new instruments and great songs.

Lovecult will start recording new songs for a future release early next year.
