New videos from Celestial + some words about the new album

Celestial has made two new videos for the title track “Crystal Heights” and “Hope, you know” from the new album (out now on music is my girlfriend).
I had plans writing a review for this album in time for the release, but time and life did not seem to want me to. So, the new videos give me a great opportunity to say that I really enjoy the new Celestial album! His first album, “Dream on”, was one of my top 10 albums last year, and I’m very happy that Celestial doesn’t disappoint me with “Crystal heights”. “Crystal Heights” is full of great pop-melodies, and the vocalists Malin Dahlberg (Douglas Heart, Laurel Music, We Are Soldiers We Have Guns) and Ulrika Nymark (Northern Fields) adds a wonderful warmth to the music. Especially the song “How does it feel?” is a favourite of mine, – the sweet vocal-hooks on the chorus …ahhh!
The guitars are much sharper and cleaner on this album, less distortion, and the overall sound on “Crystal heights” is in a way more pop-focused and crispy than on the debut. Still dreamy and jangly, but slightly less noisy than “Dream on”. I think I miss a little bit of that roughness that warmed up the sound on both the vocals and the guitars on the debut, but I also like this sweet and pure pop-sound, – so I guess I’m quite happy to have both sides of Celestial, on two different albums.
You can buy the album from klicktrack (download) or from the label.
