New music from Boy Genius on myspace

New York’s Boy Genius has uploaded the A-side of their next release  on their Myspace player now. It’s called "Blame Love" and is from a limited edition white vinyl 7" single they will release in early March. The band is soon heading for the studio to record their new album together with producer Mitch Easter, who also has produced classic albums from R.E.M., Pavement, Superchunk, Suzanne Vega and Velvet Crush. The album is planned for release this autumn.

New song from Cats on Fire: “Horoscope”

Finland’s Cats on Fire is soon out with their new album “Our Temperance Movement”, and now they have a new song from the album up on their myspace player. It’s called “Horoscope” and sounds absolutely brilliant. The album will be released on the 11th of March on the very interesting Finnish label Johanna Kustannus, home of great bands like Regina and Kiki Pau. The Online Romance

The Online Romance is a harmony-filled chamber-pop orchestra from Portland, Oregon. All the six members contribute on vocals in some capacity, and they also share the main vocal duty. The songs I’ve heard so far are warm and light pop songs that are easy for the ear, and the arrangements often makes me think “aha, that was clever”. Really nice songs!
