Cleveland duo Bears have made a lot of nice announcements on their site today. The band has a new 4-song 7″ of original Christmas songs ready for release next week. It’s called “Snowman”, and is a limited edition of 250 red vinyl records with hand-screened covers. Two extra tracks will be made available as free downloads when you buy the record. Craig Ramsey and Charlie McArthur have finished writing the songs for their third album and will start recording it during the next months. The album will be released in 2010. Charlie McArthur released a wonderful ep last year as The Golden Rule (one of our recommended eps of 2009, and he also participated on our free Birdsongs, Beesongs-compilation), and now it’s Craig Ramsey who goes solo. Ramsey will release his soloalbum “Parting Gift for a Party Girl” in a couple weeks.  Some songs are up on  his myspace player, and they sound very, very good. Very warm and melodic pop, lots of harmonies, – just how we like it!
