Oh, sometimes this Norwegian writer really finds it difficult writing reviews in English,- describing music without using the same descriptive words again and again…. Sometimes I just want to shout out “This album is incredibly good, – go and buy it” and nothing more than that. I rarely find albums that deserve such a review. I have found one now. So:
“This album is incredibly good! Go and buy it!”
Which album, you ask?
Allo, Darlin‘s debutalbum. It’s that good. It’s got everything I need from a perfect pop-album. Great melodies, charm, wit, outstanding lyrics, wonderful vocals, lots of warmth, a good mix of sweetness and attitude, – and lots more. It’s one of my top 5 pop albums so far this year. The songs that have been released as singles so far have all been amazing pop-songs, but there is so much more on this album. I started writing down my favourites, but ended up writing the names of all the songs, so…. …I say it again:
“This album is incredibly good! Go and buy it!”
