Seapony is a new project from Transmittens‘ Jen and Danny + Ian, and they make the loveliest pop-songs! The Seattle trio have just released their first EP for free on Bandcamp, and it features 4 really good songs. My favourites are the stunningly beautiful opener “Dreaming” and “I really do”, with its sweet vocals and twangy guitars. Seapony has the rough pop-power of bands like Dum Dum Girls, Veronica Falls or Best Coast, but they also remind me of old favourites like The Softies and Heavenly.
What a debut! I’m a fan!

Love the Transmittens! Not easy to keep up with all these side-projects/new band names, so thank you for keeping us updated.
So nice of them to give away an EP.
Luckily I just got my browser to work with the bandcamp site (some flashblock settings I had to change – I was gonna just ignore bandcamp entirely but that’s not possible with all these bands I like giving away exclusives there!) – although their browse/search pages still looks wonky to me, all squished to one side of the screen with text and images overlapping/illegible (I refuse to upgrade to the newest Firefox though – I’m stubborn, plus my old version of FreeDownloadManager wouldn’t work with the new Firefox. Okay, that’s enough of my compatibility woes
Except I must add, for awhile there nothing happened when I clicked/tried to comment on Eardrums – now, suddenly, it’s working again? I think my browser is a wacky prankster.
Browser compability issues are so annoying, so are website errors that come due to plugins etc.. I think the comment-thing on Eardrums must be one of the latter. Hope you have no problems commenting in the future. I have to hold the comments for moderation because of a lot of spam getting through the filters recently, so it may take a day or two before a comment is shown on the site.
Thanks for the comment!
