Golden Fable are Rebecca Palin, Tim McIver and Jack McCarthy, and rose from the ashes of Tim and Sam’s Tim and The Sam Band with Tim and Sam, which – if I am not wrong – included both Tim and Rebecca. Their music is centered around Rebecca’s beautiful, choral voice, and their songs are usually quite dreamy and poetic, sometimes with just a few acoustic instruments and other times with a big sound and full instrumentation. Often with a lot of contrasts.
Their new single, The Crossing, is the first of a series of monthly releases they will do in the coming months. On the first Monday of each month, a new song will be available through their Bandcamp page, as well as the usual online outlets including Spotify, iTunes and Amazon.
“We’ll also try our best to add as much to each release as possible, with b-sides, acoustic versions and videos”, they say, and this time, the release also includes a lovely acoustic cover of The Lemonheads‘ “It’s a Shame about Ray”
