San Fernando Valley’s Grave School is according to themselves “the result of five friends writing catchy pop-rock with a hint of twee.” Not sure about the “twee” thing, but this is brilliant, well crafted, rough indiepop with lovely, strong vocals.
The band’s latest single is out on The Native Sound, but sadly we’re all too late to get this in a physical version. The single is a part of the label’s “Private Press” series, where they take pre-orders for a week only, and then print the exact number of copies that have been ordered. After that, it will never be printed again. This one ended the pre-order period on April 18…
The EP is however available digitally, both on Bandcamp, Spotify and probably everywhere else too. It’s great all through
