Loved Songs # 34 – A Spotify-list with new indie, indiepop, folk and electronica from this week

Posted on by Knut in Love | Leave a comment

This time, I managed to get the list out on Friday, as it should be! The list this week is probably less uptempo than the other lists, so maybe I should call it “Slowed Songs” :-) ? My personal highlight of the week, – the Danish sister-duo Kirsten & Marie, have released an amazing album this week. I am also very happy to see Gravenhurst back with a new single this week, and an album coming very soon. This Many Boyfriends’ new single is also close to perfect. This week’s big disappointment was The Primitives comeback-album. Few really good songs, and as a total, it is a quite boring experience to listen to.

So, let’s get some music here!

Loved Songs # 34

As usual, you can always subscribe to all the lists at once, in the huge and evergrowing All Loved Songs-playlist, where all new Loved Songs-playlists are added when I make them available.

It’s another Friday, and here’s another “Loved Songs”-playlist, with new songs I have loved from this week.

As usual, I have put an old favourite in there as well, The Glove – “Perfect Murder”. This is a side-project Robert Smith (The Cure) and Steve Severin (Siouxsie and The Banshees) had some time in the 80s. Great song, and weird, but good album. There is another oldie in here as well, but it’s from a new compilation from Simple Minds. They were once a brilliant and highly creative band, but changed into that awful stadium-monster. The new compilation “5×5″ features their first 5 albums, where they still were good and creative, and now they set out on a tour, performing only the old songs from before 82.

And there are lots of new goodies in there as well. Full tracklist can be found below the links.

Here is the new playlist. Please subscribe or spread the word on social media!:

A slow start of the year, but here I am, and I’m back with another “Loved Songs” playlist, the 22nd. I am especially excited about Diagrams, which is the new project from former Tunng-frontman Sam Genders, the new single from Frankie Rose is lovely, and I am completely in love with the new EP from Piney Gir. The playlist also features new goodies from bands like Trailer trash Tracys, Murder Mystery, The Notwist, Vit Päls, Burning Hearts, the Shins and many, many more… I’m a bit disappointed in the new JJ-single, but I have included it here, so you can make up your own opinion.

Here’s the list, and if you like it, please spread it around to your friends, on twitter, on Facebook, anywhere…
