My favourite blogs:

Demos/promos

We accept all kinds of demos, promos and cd-submissions, but please send us an email and allow us to say yes or no before you send us your cds.
If we like it, we will write about it or review it. If we don’t like it, we will not write about it. Easy. We love to hear from new bands!

We get a lot of promo-cds, and reviews are not our first priority. If you email us first, we can check if it is something that we like and would like to write about, and if we don’t, you’ll save the shipping costs. You can also send us promos by email, - preferably as links that we can download somewhere on the internet. If you want to send us full albums in an email, you have to ask first if this is OK.

And… I receive so much email every day, and I’m not able to answer more than a few of them and will probably blog about even fewer.  I’m really sorry about this, but if I should answer it all, I wouldn’t be able to write this blog at all.

Promos can be sent to:

promo@eardrumsmusic.com

or

You can also use the PipeBytes service to send over large files directly. Follow the instructions here:

Just to give you a small advice on how to get noticed in the pile of email and demos we receive weekly:
Use our myspace, which I check once a day, and add us as a friend.
I listen briefly to all the bands who contact me via myspace, because it is easy to listen and get a fast impression of the artist through a myspace profile. I will contact bands I like or would like to write about when I have heard the music.

You can also send us an email, but please make it super-easy for me to find out if you are interesting or not. Keep it short and to the point.
Add a link to your myspace and your website. Add a link to a song or two.

Do not quote how good everybody else think you are, because that has no relevance to me.
Do not tell me that your music sounds like "the wind in the trees or a swallow flying by", that’s my job.
Tell me who you are, where you’re from, what you do, what you have done and why you do it. The facts.
If my time is limited, as it often is, I don’t bother checking out bands that doesn’t include a link to some kind of music example in their email.
