WHAT IS THIS?
Eardrums is a music blog with a focus on new alternative music and the ideas behind. We write about music we like, - music we think you should like. We usually update the site daily or at least several times a week. Eardrums is dedicated to spread the word about quality music and to promote smaller artists that we think should get a chance to make a living out of their art. We are NOT here to give you free music, but to tell you what you should buy next.
SOME GEOGRAPHY…
All our writers either live or have lived in the nordic countries, and it is natural that we post a lot of music from these countries. However, Eardrums is not ONLY a nordic blog. We write about the music we like, no matter nationality or style.
SOME HISTORY…
Eardrums were started by Knut on march 30 - 2005. It was started as a testblog to check out some blog-systems for the norwegian band Delaware, but soon the blog became popular and he decided to continue writing. In 2006, three new writers joined the team. Lotte and Ivar from Norway and Nicolas from France. We all love melodic indierock and we all love to tell the world about the bands we love.
ABOUT THE MP3′S
The MP3’s you find here at Eardrums are for sampling purposes only.
Most of the artists we feature here are smaller bands and they rely on the income they get from their music. If you like a song or an artist, please buy the album and support the bands. We usually have permission from the artist, the label or a promo agency to use these songs. Songs we host at eardrumsmusic.com will rarely stay online for more than 14 days.
If you find a link to your music here and you would like to have it removed, please contact us directly and we’ll fix it immediately. You can contact us by sending email to info@eardrumsmusic.com. We are here to help the artists, not to work against the artists.
The songs we feature on Eardrums be removed 2 weeks after they are posted.
Where can I buy the songs, you ask?
Most of the music we feature are available on shops like iTunes, eMusic, Insound, Amazon, Play.com , Rough Trade, 7digital, Piccadilly Records or DotShop.
Norwegian and Scandinavian music is available from cdon.com , klicktrack or from zailor.no. Both will ship abroad. If you can’t find it on any of these locations, check the myspace/bandsite or labelsite link in the Eardrums-article. We always provide a link to one of those sites, and you will probably find a shop-link there.
