Introducing: The Echo Field, beautiful 60s inspired indiepop from Stockholm
5th November 2015

The Echo Field is a Stockholm-based 60s inspired indiepop band, who soon will release their beautiful new single “Is He Gone” and their self-titled debut EP on Lazy Octopus Records

.

I first heard the single, which will be out 11 November, and thought “wow, this is great”, and then I pressed play on their 4 track EP and got really, really excited
. All four songs have strong melodies and lovely harmonies, led by the clean, warm vocals of Tomas Hellberg (?), who has a great Lennon-esque raspy style when he really pushes his voice. Love it! That little touch adds so much character to the songs
. I also like the tiny bits of psychedelic elements they carefully add to their highly melodic pop tunes
. I am already looking forward to the next release from these guys!

The EP will be out on November 18th on 12” vinyl and digital download, and I am pretty sure that you will love it. Listen to the single below

You are right! I had completely forgotten about them, but yes, they did some really nice stuff.
